Leagues allow dragon trainers to compete in the Arena for the chance to win prizes.

 

After each League event, the top trainers will be promoted on to a higher League and earn special rewards.

 

Trainers who didn't perform as well may be sent to a lower league where they'll have the opportunity to compete against opponents with a similar level of strength.
