Your username can be found in your Player Profile screen.

 

On the islands screen, tap the profile box in the top left corner (with your chosen avatar + player level) to open the profile page.

Your username is located at the top of this new window.

 

If you would like to change your username, simply tap on the text box and enter a new name in the prompt that appears
