Custom items have a visual appearance, which is active all the time while equipped, and a game effect (like awarding 1 token per bullseye hit), which is active only while the item has charges. Customization items start with a number of charges by default, which are consumed at a rate of one per match. Once the charges are exhausted, the item doesn't provide a game effect anymore, but it can still be equipped for its visual customization. Players can recharge an item by paying a number of tokens, depending on the item.
