Boxes act as stationary obstacles on the board. Popping a bubble next to a box or hitting it with a power-up breaks it and makes it disappear. Some boxes are really sturdy. You'll have to hit them more than once to break them! If a box is a certain color, you can only break it with bubbles of the same color -- or with power-ups.
